Timberland Futures grows your trees, harvests them, and sells them on your behalf.
When you invest with Timberland Futures, you are leasing land in one of our Costa Rican Melina plantations. We plant Melina seedlings on your tract at a density of 1100 trees/hectare.
Your forest thrives under management of our forestry engineers, who control weeds and pests and apply fertilizer during crucial stages. They also prune the trees to ensure straight growth that produces the knot-free wood that attracts premium prices.
Take a closer look at our forest management practices.
Our projections are based on 7% annual increase in timber prices. Since 2005, Melina hardwood timber prices have increased 11.96%.

At Year 4, your forest is thinned of the weaker trees, providing more sunlight for more promising trees to grow. Timberland Futures sells this trimmed growth for pulp at current market value, earning you an estimated average first return of 25%, based on historical wood prices.
At Years 8 and 10 there are additional harvests, providing returns of 18.75% and 25%, respectively. Final harvest occurs once your trees reach their optimal diameter, typically in Year 12 or 13. Timberland Futures sells your remaining trees and you receive your final return of 175%, for a total ROI of 244%.

Timberland Futures Investment Portfolios offer a conservative, balanced approach for hedging against common market instability.
